Aaron Samuels is the Co-Founder and Chief Operating Officer of Blavity Inc., the leading news company and media brand for Black Millennials + Gen Z in the U.S., reaching over 30 million people per month. With a background in strategy consulting, product management, poetry, and dialogue facilitation, Aaron is known for approaching problems with a combination of creativity and analytics.

Beginning his career as a poet, Aaron has toured the country with his acclaimed book, Yarmulkes & Fitted Caps. He has performed on television, given a TEDx talk, and has been featured at over 100 theaters & stages. In 2016, Aaron landed himself on Forbes' coveted 30 under 30 list as a rising star in the tech and media space.

Aaron received his undergraduate degree from Washington University in St. Louis, and his MBA from Stanford University’s Graduate School of Business.

When he is not at Blavity, Aaron works as an executive coach and as an investor, operating a small fund that deploys capital into companies founded by women and people of color. Aaron is specifically interested in early-stage start-ups and projects that combine media, technology, and art.
