Adam Hayes, CFA is a researcher at the University of Wisconsin-Madison who studies financial technology in society. His work includes several published journal articles on Bitcoin valuation, cryptocurrency networks, and blockchain. Adam also teaches two courses for the UNic MSc program in digital currencies. Before becoming an academic, Adam worked on Wall Street for over 12 years as a derivatives trader and in private wealth management. He also founded a blockchain-related start-up in 2014 using a colored coin scheme to create counterfeit-proof certificates of authenticity for luxury items.
