Akshay is the cofounder of Komli Media, Asia's largest independent digital advertising technology company. He is a Kauffman Fellow, Class 18. In hi last role with Komli, Akshay was VP, Corporate Strategy, executing investments, divestments and corporate restructuring activities. Prior to that role Akshay was VP, International Business Development and MD, Southeast Asia, where he led and executed an aggressive M&A strategy to expand Komli's footprint across Asia, UK and USA. Within a period of 2 years, Komli acquired PostClick in Australia, Indoor Media in the UK, Aktiv Digital and Admax Network in Southeast Asia. The acquisition of Admax was a landmark deal for Komli, in terms of its complexity and size. At its peak, Komli was present was in 10 countries excluding its India homebase. Akshay was also responsible for securing and maintaining strategic alliances with several key partners such as Google, Facebook and Twitter. For the first four years, Akshay was based in Mumbai, India as MD, India, before shifting base to Sydney and then Singapore. Prior to Komli, Akshay was pursuing entrepreneurial projects in Kunming, China: an Indian restaurant and a lifestyle magazine modeled on Time Out. He was previously a research economist with the United Nations in Switzerland and a management consultant with Deloitte Consulting in the US.
