Alliott Cole serves as Chief Executive Officer at Octopus Ventures. He joined the Octopus Ventures team at the start of 2008 as the team began investing their first fund. Alliott has also spent two years working in the US when he established Octopus Ventures’ office in New York. The key investments he has been involved in at Octopus include Antidote.me (a digital healthcare company); Conversocial (a B2B customer service software); the food e-commerce business Graze (acquired by Unilever), the ecommerce platform Rangespan (acquired by Google), the machine learning business Magic Pony (acquired by Twitter), Permutive (an edge computing company); Sofar Sounds (a global music company); the pet food company Tails.com (acquired by Nestle), and the property portal website Zoopla (acquired by SilverLake). Before arriving at Octopus, he previously worked as a lawyer at Ashurst, where he spent time working for IBM, Sporting Bet, UC Rusal, and NM Rothschild. Alliott has also held positions on the Board of the British Business Angel Association. He holds a Masters in Classics from Oxford University.
