Ann Cresce joined BCause as General Counsel in November 2017. She is also an adjunct professor at Chicago-Kent College of Law, where she teaches Futures and Derivatives Law & Regulation. BCause LLC is working to become the world’s first full-stack cryptocurrency ecosystem. This ecosystem will include a digital mining facility, which is operational, a spot market, and a regulated derivatives exchange and clearing house. BCause has filed with the U.S. Commodity Futures Trading Commission to become a designated contract market (DCM) and a derivatives clearing organization (DCO). Ann brings extensive experience with regulated futures and derivatives exchanges and trading firms to BCause. Her experience includes the Chicago Climate Exchange, where she was General Counsel, the Chicago Board of Trade, Chicago Mercantile Exchange Inc. (now CME Group), Carr Futures (now part of NewEdge) and the Commodity Futures Trading Commission. Prior to becoming General Counsel for BCause, she was General Counsel to a start-up futures exchange in Hong Kong for four years and then worked in the U.S. as a consultant on U.S. and Asia legal and regulatory matters.
