Bette Armstrong joined SVB Capital in 2012. As Director of Finance, she leads the financial activities for fund of funds and direct investment funds. Bette is also responsible for controls and policies surrounding compliance with Sarbanes –Oxley, GAAP, and regulatory requirements.

Bette has 12 years of experience in venture capital finance and accounting leadership. Prior to joining SVB Capital, Bette worked with Norwest Venture Partners’ finance team on special projects including designing and implementing processes around fair value, partnership legal structure amendments and international compliance programs. Before Norwest Ventures Partners, Bette spent six years with Artiman Ventures as the Director of Finance, leading the back office operations.

Bette spent almost six years with Pricewaterhouse Coopers as an auditor. She started in Atlanta where she focused on manufacturing clients and transferred to Silicon Valley to focus on software and internet companies.

Bette received a BS in accounting with Honors from Kennesaw State College and obtained her CPA license in Georgia.
