Chris Caulkin is a Managing Director and Head of Technology for EMEA focusing on General Atlantic’s investments in the Technology sector. He joined General Atlantic in their London office in 2011 and serves on the boards of Back Market, Doctolib, Hemnet, Kahoot!, ManoMano, Matillion, OpenClassrooms, PayFit, Property Finder, and Studio Moderna.

Prior to joining General Atlantic, he worked for Warburg Pincus in London for four years where he focused on investments in the Media, Business Services and Education spaces. Before Warburg Pincus, Chris was an associate at The Boston Consulting Group in London where he worked on a range of Media, Technology and Financial Services projects.

Caulkin earned a graduate degree from the University of Cambridge with Distinction in Information & Computer Engineering. He also studied at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (2002-2003) and earned a Masters in Finance from London Business School (2009-2011). He has been a Governor of Wembley High Technology College since 2008.
