Dr Bayley is an affiliate of ARCH who focuses on life-science businesses and is co-founder of several ARCH portfolio companies, including deCODE genetics, an Icelandic diagnostics company, Adolor, a pharmaceutical firm developing novel analgesics, and Elixir Pharmaceuticals, an anti-aging and metabolic disease company, and has been instrumental in sourcing companies such as Alnylam Pharmaceuticals and Agios Pharmaceuticals. Early in her career, she was a field engineer with Schlumberger Offshore Services. Dr. Bayley holds a B.S. in Physics from the University of Rochester, and a Ph.D. in Virology and an M.B.A. from the University of Chicago.
