David Lomas is Chief Financial Officer, Elsevier. He is responsible for all financial oversight and staff and plays a central role in financial management and execution across all of Elsevier’s businesses and shared services.

He was formerly Vice Chairman of the Elsevier Management Committee, which operated from 2009 to 2012. David joined Elsevier in 2005 from the global telecommunications and information giant BT, where he held a variety of key financial and operational roles, including CFO of the BT Enterprise division, Head of BT Mergers & Acquisitions, Chief Financial and Commercial Officer of BT Ireland and CEO of BT Multi-Media.

David holds an honors degree in Management Science from Warwick University in the UK, is a member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England & Wales and is a Member of the Institute of Treasurers.
