Mr. David William Quysner serves as Chairman of Environmental Technologies Fund LP. Mr. Quysner has been the Chairman of Abingworth LLP since 2002; the Chairman of Comino Group PLC since 1999; and a Non-Executive Director since 1996. He serves on the Board of numerous companies and the Chairman of the Finance for Investment Advisory Board at the Small Business Service.

He has been a Non-Executive Director of Private Equity Investor Plc since October 22, 2004. He has been a Non-Executive Director of Angle PLC since 2004 and Prelude Trust PLC since October 6, 2004. He serves as the Chairman of the RCM Technology Trust plc. He serves as a Trustee of Medical Research Council Technology. He has been a Director at numerous companies in which Abingworth has invested, including Comino Group PLC and Research Machines (RM) PLC. He serves as a Non Executive Director at Blease Medical Holdings Limited.

Mr. Quysner has over 44 years of experience in venture capital fund management and of managing investments in technology companies in the United States, the United Kingdom, and Continental Europe. He is one of Europe’s most experienced practitioners in venture capital. Mr. Quysner has been involved in a wide range of investment activities in the United Kingdom, continental Europe, and the United States.

He was the Managing Director at Abingworth LLP since 1993 and overall spent 24 years there as a Director, Managing Director in 1993, and latterly as a Non-Executive Chairman in 2002. Mr. Quysner began his career at 3i in 1969, covering a wide range of activities including investment management and corporate finance and lately managing 3i's office in Manchester. He worked at 3i from 1969 to 1982. He served as the Chairman of the Capital for Enterprise Ltd.

Mr. Quysner served as a Director of Abingworth Management Inc., Cambridge Research and Innovation Limited, Chiltern Invadex Holdings Limited, Enterprise Capital Trust PLC, Manakin Limited, Manakin Holdings PLC, REL Consultancy Group Limited, Quester, and Umist Ventures Fund Management Limited. He served as the Chairman of the British Venture Capital Association with deep involvement in many aspects of Venture Capital in the U.K. from 1996 to 1997 and a Member of the Board of Finsbury Technology Trust PLC since March 7, 2003.

Mr. Quysner has been a Non-Executive Director of Foresight 2 VCT plc since September 14, 2004. He was awarded a CBE in 2008 for services to the Venture Capital industry.

He was a co-author of the first ‘Guidelines for the Valuation and Disclosure of Venture Capital Portfolios’ (since revised) and of the first ‘BVCA Performance Measurement Survey’ – now published annually. Mr. Quysner holds an M.A from Cambridge University.
