From August 1991 to May 1998, he served as a Vice President of Research and Development, till January 1993 and Vice President of Marketing and Product Development for Spine-Tech, Inc., a predecessor of Sulzer Spine-Tech. from August 1991 to January 1993.

Mr. Kohrs has been the Chairman of American Medical Systems Holdings Inc., since March 3, 2004 and served as its Director from 1999 to March 2006.

He has been a Director of Proto Labs, Inc. since April 03, 2012. He has been a Director of Kyphon Inc. since April 2000 and ev3 Inc. since June 2005.

He serves as a Director of Axya Medical, Inc., Disc Dynamics Inc. and Pioneer Surgical Technologies. He served as an Executive Director of Tornier, Inc., from July 2006 to November 2012. He served as a Director of ev3 LLC from March 2005 to June 2005.

Mr. Kohrs served as a Director of AxioMed Spine Corporation He served as a Director of Medtronic Spine LLC from April 2000 to June 2007.

Doug holds a B.S. in Bioengineering from Texas A&M University, a BA in Engineering Sciences from Austin College, and an MBA from Northeastern University.
