Ed Anuff is the Chief Product Officer at DataStax. He previously worked for the Apigee team at Google, which was formed when Google acquired the market-leading API Management firm Apigee in 2016, and where he was the SVP of Product Strategy, playing key roles in Apigee's IPO and subsequent sale to Google. Prior to Apigee, he founded the Apache Usergrid mobile backend project which was a key part of Apigee's product line. Previously, he was the EVP of Platform Products at Six Apart, the maker of the Movable Type and TypePad blogging platforms, and focused on the media and professional publishing markets. Prior to that, he founded and was the CEO of social app marketplace WidgetBox, which pivoted to become Flite, the rich media ad platform acquired by Snap. Before that he was the founder and CEO of Epicentric, the pioneering enterprise portal company, which was sold to Vignette, the leading enterprise content management vendor, where he became the VP of Portals & Collaboration. In the '90s, while at Wired, he ran product management at HotWired.com and launched the HotBot web search engine in partnership with Inktomi. In 1995, he authored one of the first books on Java programming, The Java SourceBook, published by J. Wiley & Sons.
