Eylon Penchas has over twelve years of private equity investment experience, including 13 years as Managing Partner of D Partners, the predecessor to the Fund.
In 1998, Mr. Penchas joined the Dovrat-Shrem Group, where he was responsible for investment banking activities in the field of private placements, mainly for high-tech start-ups. During his tenure with Dovrat-Shrem, the firm was directly and indirectly responsible for investments in a number of Israeli high-technology companies.
In 1999, Mr. Penchas joined Aharon and Shlomo Dovrat in the establishment of the Viola Group. In this capacity, he has developed extensive expertise in investment vehicles, including administering and managing complicated investment structures. Mr. Penchas is responsible for executing the investments of D Partners as well as for the operational and financial aspects of the Fund. He is a member of the founding teams and investment committees of D Partners, and of Plenus Venture Lending. He also serves as a board member of some of D Partners' portfolio companies.
Prior to joining Dovrat Shrem, Mr. Penchas served as Director of Business Development for Bezeq - The Israeli Telecommunications Corporation, where he was responsible for the initiation of several multi-million dollar projects in the areas of international telecom services, satellite TV, data networking and electronic commerce. He was also part of the company's corporate strategic team and represented the company on the boards of several of its subsidiaries.
Before embarking on his business career, Eylon achieved the rank of Captain in a reconnaissance unit in the Israel Defense Forces.
