Gloria A. Flach is corporate vice president and president of Northrop Grumman’s Electronic Systems sector, a world leader in defense electronics systems.Flach oversees the Electronic Systems sector’s business operations in areas such as defense electronics, airspace management systems, navigation systems, radar and self protection systems, communications systems, marine systems, space systems, oceanic and naval systems, government systems and logistics services. She is a member of the company’s Corporate Policy Council.Flach has held a number of positions with increasing technical and management responsibility since joining the company in 1981. In her previous role, Flach was corporate vice president and president of Northrop Grumman’s Enterprise Shared Services organization, which encompasses a variety of service and support functions including Information Technology Solutions, Finance Shared Services, Enterprise Solutions Group, Procurement Shared Services, Human Resources Shared Services, Corporate Administrative Services, Corporate Environmental, Health and Safety, Corporate Real Estate, Corporate Security and Flight Operations.Earlier, Flach was vice president and general manager of the Targeting Systems division in the company’s Electronic Systems sector. She also was vice president and general manager of Engineering and Logistics with executive responsibility for engineering operations and processes and logistics services. In 2009, her role was expanded to include executive responsibility for the sector’s manufacturing operations.Previously, Flach was integral to implementing the sector’s integrated SAP enterprise resource planning system and she was later appointed vice president and chief information officer for Electronic Systems.Flach earned a bachelor’s degree in computer science and a master’s degree in business administration from Loyola University in Maryland, where she is also an inductee in the university’s Computer Science Hall of Fame for outstanding achievement.
