Jennifer Colfelt has served in planning and operations roles at non-profit organizations for over ten years. Joining the Private Equity Growth Capital Council in March of 2008, she previously served as the Manager of Finance, Operations and Human Resources. Promoted to her current position in March of 2012, Colfelt directs the financial and administrative operations of the organization and works in tandem with the President & CEO on furthering member relations and recruitment. Before the PEGCC, Colfelt served at Business Roundtable from 2006 to 2008 where she supported the Executive Director and managed the DC operations of the successful Gulf Coast Workforce Development Initiative and “I’m GREAT” campaign.

Before entering the policy field, Colfelt began her non-profit career in symphony orchestra management where she served in the artistic planning department of the Chicago Symphony Orchestra under the leadership of Daniel Barenboim from 1999 to 2003. In August 2003, she moved to Washington, DC and worked for classical music conductor and composer, Leonard Slatkin, at the John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts until 2006.

Colfelt graduated pi alpha alpha from George Mason University (Arlington, VA) with a master’s degree in public policy concentrating in regional economic development issues. Previously she earned a bachelor’s degree from Northwestern University (Evanston, IL).
