Prior to joining Redhills Ventures LLC, John was a co-founder of Celadon Health, Inc., a venture-backed healthcare information technology company based in Athens, Georgia, and San Francisco, California. Celadon developed and marketed a Web-based information system that utilized episodes of care to control costs for major health insurers and self-insured corporations. As Managing Partner from 1999 until 2002, John had full P&L responsibility and led the company’s efforts in marketing, operations, and finance.Previously, from 1997 until 1999, John was responsible for west coast acquisitions in Security Capital Group’s extended-stay lodging division, Homestead Village, Inc. In that capacity, John acquired properties targeted for investment of over $150 million.Before joining Security Capital Group in 1997, John was an analyst with the Private Portfolio Group of Merrill Lynch Asset Management in Princeton, New Jersey, researching stocks in a variety of industries. He obtained a Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Virginia and an MBA from the Wharton School of Business at the University of Pennsylvania.
