Mark Brown (London) joined KKR in 2013. Mr. Brown was most recently a managing director at GSO Capital, the credit arm of Blackstone, which he joined in October 2007. At GSO Capital, he was part of the fund's rescue financing efforts across Europe. He served on the board of directors of The Miller Group, Giant Cement LLP, and Alcontrol Laboratories. Prior to joining GSO Capital, Mr. Brown worked for Deutsche Bank as a vice president in the Distressed Products Group where he focused on European distressed corporate loans and special situations. His previous work experience also includes debt advisory at Close Brothers Corporate Finance and audit and private equity/corporate transaction support with KPMG in New York. Mr. Brown trained as a Chartered Accountant and Chartered Financial Analyst in South Africa. He currently serves on the board of the holding company of the Italian vending machine business, Argenta.
