A cheerful marketer over here, pursuing a new position after spending two years as the Director of Marketing for an online shopping start-up. I'm excited to apply the skillset I've developed working in the ecommerce space in an entrepreneurial environment. Before joining the eggheads at PoachIt, I worked in MasterCard Advisors where I quickly advanced from an entry-level position to Senior Manager in just three years. Managing projects, simultaneously consulting numerous clients, conducting interviews, creating marketing campaigns and working with many moving parts has forced me to carefully manage time, maintain an intense eye for detail and engage as a team player in a wide variety of situations. In June 2012, I left MasterCard and traveled throughout Europe and spent time with my family in Croatia. Armed with my grandma’s famous goulash recipe, I returned to New York in 2013 and was excited to accept the position with PoachIt.I bring unique traits to the table, like constructing a story out of a mess, humanizing communication, and figuring out where to find the answers. I flourish working in a group to solve problems, and I love to motivate and create laughter. Quite simply, I don't believe work happens just between 9 to 5. If you're invested in a project or an idea, it's an ongoing mental effort. My dad is a brilliant scientist--(you can find him here on LinkedIn too) and one thing I've inherited from him is leaping out of bed in the middle of the night with an epiphany to quickly scribble down in a bedside journal!I'm considering marketing roles across all industries, with the only caveat being that ya'll are a smart group of people, visionary as opposed to reactionary, and don't bring brussel sprouts in for lunch at the office.
