Michael Cappuccitti is the president of Rockap Holdings, Inc., and Permian Properties Canada, Inc., both investment-holding companies with private community bank investing, venture capital investing and real property development at their core. In addition to having built out several condominium projects in Orillia, Ontario, and developing other tracts of land in both Orillia, Barrie, and Stayner, Ontario, Rockap is a 50/50 joint venture partner with Mattamy Homes on a 1,500-acre tract of land in New Tecumseth, Ontario, which represents a future master-planned community of upwards of 15,000 housing units, including 400-plus acres of municipal sites for a hospitals, schools, parks, and so forth. Beyond property development, Rockap and Permian are both significant shareholding partners in 4 US-based community banks—3 in the Dallas/Ft. Worth, Texas metroplex (one of which Michael serves as an advisory director for), and one in the Denver, Colorado metro market. Lastly Permian Bank Capital (https://bankcapital.ca), a subsidiary of Permian Properties, is extremely active in the private venture capital investment market, having taken positions in over 85 upstart companies. In January of 2021, Michael was named as Canada’s most active venture capital investor by The Logic for 2020. Michael holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Finance from the University of Dayton, Ohio (1996), an MBA from the Schulich School of Business at York University in Toronto (2000), and a certificate in Nutrition and Health Living from Cornell University (2019). Michael’s hierarchy of life is as follows: 1) Health; 2) Family; 3) Work; 4) Play. To that end, his primary interests include health and food matters, and rigorous physical workouts. His wife Olga is from Barcelona, Spain and as such Michael became fluent in Spanish, beginning studies in 1999. No match for Olga, who has both a law degree and an MBA, and can speak or understand Catalan, Spanish, French, German, Portuguese and Italian. Daughter Mia, 17, is a Senior 2 student (Grade 12) at Appleby College and will be studying psychology and early childhood education. Mia is an uber-active young woman at Appleby not limited to her roles as student ambassadorship and student leader for Round Square International. Son Marc, 15, is an Upper 2 student (Grade 10) at Appleby College and is an active tackle football player, hoping to continue his studies and athletics at a prep school in the United States beginning in 2022, that tracks into college, either in the Ivy League or the NESCAC. Marc is already a volunteer math teacher for younger children at Mathnasium Learning Centers. Michael is a student of life organization methods, headlined by the irreplaceable Bullet Journal Method.
