Ofa Stead brings over 20 years of expertise in Human Resources to her role as Operating Partner, Talent for the Education Opportunity Fund. She has spent her career creating world-class global teams and building thriving company cultures. Prior to her current role, Ofa served as the Chief of People and Enterprise at Amerigo Education, where she oversaw the company’s HR and enterprise needs from inception to a global organization, and designed the company headquarters, which was named by Crain’s Chicago as one of the city’s Top 10 Coolest Offices.

Previously, Ofa was the Global Head of Resourcing for Corporate Activities and Functions at British Petroleum, where she built, developed and implemented the organization’s human resources strategy. She has also served as the Senior HR Business Partner for HSBC in Europe and the Head of HR for Human Tissue Authority in London. Ofa has a B.S. in Medical Science from the University of Sydney, and a degree in Business and Commerce from the University of Queensland.
