Paul Ip joined WeLab in September 2015 and has over 20 years of consumer credit risk management experience across Asia. Prior to WeLab, he held a variety of group and country risk positions at both Citibank and Standard Chartered Bank. Most recently, Paul served as Standard Chartered's Group Risk Head on Consumer Finance, managing the credit risk of consumer finance portfolios across China, Korea and Hong Kong. He also served on Standard Chartered’s Consumer Country Credit Head in Taiwan from 2011 to 2013, overlooking lending risk on individuals, SME and Private Banking clients. He holds a Bachelor of Computer Science from the University of Hong Kong.
