Dr. Phillip Villella brings a rich background in complex data analysis, software development and advanced physics to LogRhythm, applying his expertise with advanced analytics and mathematical simulations toward developing the next generation of Log and Event Management solutions. He has held research positions at the University of New Mexico Surface Physics Laboratory, Sandia National Laboratory, Los Alamos National Laboratory and the University of Colorado. A significant portion of Villella’s doctoral thesis involved designing and implementing software capable of performing high performance numerical simulations and advanced data analysis. Villella holds a Ph.D. in Condensed Matter Physics from the University of Colorado.
