Salvadoran. He holds an MBA from The Boston College, Boston, Massachusetts, and a BA in Economics from University of Santa Clara, California. He was a member of the Board of the Agricultural Bank of El Salvador, the Business Foundation for Educational Development (FEPADE) and the Salvadoran Foundation for Health and Human Development (FUSAL). He currently holds several positions among which are: the Director of the School of Economics and Business (ESEN), Deputy Director of the Board of Directors of Intercontinental Hotel Real de El Salvador, President of the Society of Investment Group, which manages investments Kriete local and international in different sectors like aviation, real estate, agribusiness, hotels, among others, and President Gloria Kriete Foundation and Agape, an institution that provides health care, food, education and shelter, with productive projects hospitality, food, education and communication. He is also member of the Board of Telmex Internacional and Carso Health Institute of the Carlos Slim Foundation.
