Simen Knudsen is the Founder & Chairman of Nordic Ocean Watch. With Nordic Ocean Watch they want to increase the energy in society for taking care of the oceans. NOW is a volunteer organisation and works mainly on a grassroots level and on a consumer level.

Simen and his team are constantly experimenting with new initiatives, and new partnerships, to take care of the ocean. They want to give the ocean a voice, create ocean ambassadors and activate people to take action in their everyday lives. In Æra Strategic Innovation, where Simen is the Director Of Sustainability, they are also working a lot with ocean and plastic and have done two cross-sectorial innovation projects on both preventative solutions and more efficient cleanup solutions. His passion is to enjoy nature and to create solutions, also he gets fuelled by challenging existing mindsets.
