Steve Carlin is an executive leader and advisor to multiple global startups. Founding director of mvmtAi inc, founder/CEO of Kebek Ventures, and venture partner/executive in residence at TransLink Capital.  He was most recently President and Chief Strategy Officer of SoftBank Robotics.  In this role, he oversaw all commercial activities and led the growth of the Americas team.  

Carlin previously worked at Facebook where he held the role of Global Head of Strategy - Gaming. In this role, he drove the global strategic vision for the company’s Gaming Business. Prior to joining Facebook Carlin was the Senior Director of Marketing and Insights for Ubisoft, the third largest video game publisher in the world. In this role, he oversaw the  marketing and insights function for the North American operations of Ubisoft. His responsibilities included short and long term shopper and retail marketing visions for Ubisoft’s games, shaping the sales team’s national market plans, and developing the in-store and online programs for the world’s largest retailers.

Before joining Ubisoft in 2009, Carlin worked at Energizer Battery Company where he held multiple roles in Sales, Channel Marketing and Brand Marketing. There he was responsible for, among other things, the development of channel strategy for Energizer's business in the Grocery and Mass & Electronic classes of trade. Additionally, he not only conducted strategic consulting work for key customers including business plan and sales strategy development, but he was also responsible for the category management teams for the channel's customers.

Before his tenure at Energizer, Carlin worked for Procter & Gamble in Customer Business Development and Brand Marketing where he was responsible for marketing, sales and strategic project work for Procter & Gamble’s beauty care business, including the $600MM Cosmetic division.

Carlin is a graduate of Miami University in Oxford, Ohio, where he holds a BA in Geology, and of Goizueta Business School at Emory University in Atlanta, where he holds an MBA (with Honors) in Marketing and International Business.  He has also studied at Cornell, HEC business school in Pars and the UIBE business school in Beijing.
