Sumita Khatri joined MetroHealth Medical Center-Case Western Reserve School of Medicine as Assistant Professor of Medicine.Previously, Sumita has been on faculty at Emory University and MetroHealth Medical Center in Cleveland. Since 2010, Sumitai has been a Co-Director of the Asthma Center at Cleveland Clinic, cares for patients in the Medical ICU. Sumita is also a core facilitator on relationship-centered care for the Center for Excellence in Healthcare Communication at the Cleveland Clinic. Sumita is also involved in public health outreach and patient advocacy, serves on the national board of the American Lung Association, and is active in professionalism and leadership programs at Cleveland Clinic and CWRU. Sumita earned her M.D. degree at Ohio State University, trained in adult Pulmonary and Critical Care Medicine at Cleveland Clinic, and earned a Master's Degree in Clinical Research at Emory University.
