After graduating from Keio University, he joined the Police Agency in 1990. Joined Rakuten Co., Ltd. in 2003, and as an executive officer, promoted the establishment of a governance system for the entire Rakuten Group. As a director of Rakuten Baseball Team, Ltd., he was involved in the creation of a professional baseball team. Later, Outside Director of CrowdWorks Co., Ltd., Outside Auditor of Mercari Co., Ltd. (current), and Executive Officer of Medley Co., Ltd. (current). In 2019, he became an external auditor of FISM.
