Tim Hwang is a big data entrepreneur and Senior Advisor for Government Innovation. He currently serves as the Founder and CEO of FiscalNote, using artificial intelligence and big data to deliver immediate predictive analytics of governmental action to pinpoint impact. He also works as an active venture capitalist/angel investor, advising in the areas of biotechnology and robotics, and as an author of the upcoming book “In Between Dreams: How Youth Unemployment Catalyzed a Global Entrepreneurship Movement”.

Featured in Forbes, TIME, Fox, and the Washington Post and a Ernst & Young Entrepreneur of the Year Winner, Tim has previously served as the President of the 750,000 member National Youth Association, launching its financial services arm and pushing the agenda of young Americans in healthcare, education, and energy. He also served as the founder of Articulance Consulting Group helping to launch a data analytics platform for small restaurants and Operation Fly. Inc., representative at Square working with small businesses in payments analytics, member of the MCPS Board of Education pushing data-based decision making to analyze education in a large urban district of over 150,000 students, and Field Organizer for the Obama for America '08 campaign using data in GOTV and grassroots organizing. He serves on the Boards of Jumpstart Maryland (Chair), State Farm YAB, the Commission on Juvenile Justice, among many others.
