Bill Powers currently manages The Strand Partners, the vehicle for Powers Family wealth investments. In addition, Bill serves as a general partner of Sandbridge Capital, a private equity investment team focused on consumer goods, apparel and retail. Bill is a senior advisor to JRK Multifamily Platform and is Managing Director at Aspen Highland Partners, an investment partnership. Bill also actively invests in natural resources, commodities, and collectibles.

Mr. Powers resigned from PIMCO in 2010 after a 19-year career as a fixed-income portfolio manager and managing director. He was a member of PIMCO’s Investment and Executive Committees. He launched and oversaw PIMCO’s global portfolio management operations in London, Tokyo, Sydney, Toronto, Munich, and Singapore. Prior to PIMCO, Bill was a Senior Director and Fixed Income Management Committee member at Bear Stearns ’88-’90 and a Mortgage Specialist at Salomon Brothers ’83-’88.

A graduate of St. Albans School in Washington, D.C., he served on the school’s Board of Governors; at Princeton, he was chosen to the All-Ivy League team and made the naming gift for its football field. Mr. Powers received an AB in Economics from Princeton University ’79 and an MBA from the Stanford Graduate School of Business ‘83.
